The annual tradition, Christmas Morning in Queen’s Park, is as Bajan as black cake during the festivities in December. This year will be no different as friends and families gather in the Park in their most exceptional wear for the annual Christmas concert. The Royal Barbados Police Force featuring the Royal Diadems will lead the joyous proceedings; other performances on the day include The Headstart Music Group, Biggie Irie, Ramaro Greaves, Mighty Bit Bit, and Promise.
In addition to the concert, attendees can visit the photobooth by RealTime Slomo Booth and capture their favourite moments with their favourite people or enjoy breakfast with friends at the Tea Room; great cake, pound cake, ham, pumpkin fritters are just a few items on the menu.
We Gatherin’ Barbados focuses on rebuilding that spirit of community at the core of the traditional Barbadian way of life. Christmas in the Park is a staple tradition for many Barbadians, and it is these types of events to look forward to in 2020. Events that all Barbadians can seek to enjoy, for more information on We Gatherin’ 2020, check out the information booth by the Queen’s Park Gazebo on Christmas Morning.
The morning proceedings will run from 7:00 a.m to 11:00 a.m. on the historic grounds of Queen’s Park and promises to be one of the most memorable experiences of 2019.
