Background

The National Cultural Foundation is inviting actors, writers, sound engineers and other creatives interested in learning the art of audio book narration to register for our Training in Audiobook Narration, Business and Marketing! 

Topics include:

  • Narrating Fiction
    • Audiobook (script) preparation and research
    • The performance approach to narration (storytelling vs. reading out loud)
    • Acting tools for narration
    • Performing both male and female characters (as one narrator)
    • Tools for creating multiple character voices
  • Narrating Non-fiction

    • Finding the non-fiction “story”
    • Personalizing the text
    • Tools for complication/dense text

    • How you make money as a narrator

Workshops will occur via ZOOM on November 7,8 and 9 from 5:00p.m. to 9:00p.m.
