The Landship Oral History Project is one of many initiatives the National Cultural Foundation has put in place to safeguard important aspects of the island’s cultural memories. The interview features elders from the Landship community, both past and present who share their rich memories, stories and experiences of life in the Landship: Captain Elton Greaves, who is today the most senior member of the Barbados Landship Community since the passing of the Lord High Admiral Vernon Watson; former Kit Inspector Barbara Gilkes and, former Matron Edith “Rosie” Miller-Barker.
