New Media Series of Workshops: Where Art Meets Technology

An NCF CARIFESTA XV INITIATIVE

July 5th – August 27th 2025

We’re excited to invite you to a transformative series of workshops designed for artists who are curious about—and inspired by—the power of technology in creative practice. Whether you’re a painter experimenting with digital tools, a performer exploring immersive environments, or a sculptor intrigued by 3D sculpting and generative design, this series offers a space to learn, collaborate, and expand your creative boundaries.

In today’s evolving landscape, the lines between traditional art forms and emerging technologies are blurring. This workshop series is a response to that evolution—bringing together artists, technologists, and creative thinkers to explore how tools like AI, coding, digital fabrication, augmented reality, and more can open up new possibilities for expression.

Through hands-on sessions, expert-led discussions, and collaborative projects, you’ll gain not only practical skills but also new perspectives on how to integrate technology into your artistic process—without losing the heart of your practice. Each session will guide you step-by-step through simple, hands-on projects that connect technology with your artistic voice. Along the way, you’ll meet other artists, and discover fresh ways to express your ideas.

This is a space for curiosity, creativity, and collaboration—where mistakes are welcome, and exploration is encouraged. Let’s take the first steps into the exciting world where art and technology meet. Let’s create, experiment, and reimagine the future of art together.
