The Courtesy Garage Pic-o-De Crop (POC) Calypso Monarch title is arguably the most sought after award in local music. The crucial objective of POC is to preserve Barbados’ calypso tradition through an event that provides the art form a creative space to function, as well as a prominent place within the Crop Over festival.

After being judged in the calypso tents, seventeen participants meet the reigning Monarch at the Finals for a world-class musical presentation and one of the most highly anticipated events on the calendar, where they perform one song for the “CASH or CAR” prize.
