SUSTAINABLE COMMUNITY BEAUTIFICATION PROJECTS
Background
This year 2025, Barbados will host CARIFESTA XV, the premier regional event in cultural integration where each participating nation will showcase the best of their country through the Arts. It will be held from August 22 – 31. Countries from CARICOM and the wider African Diaspora will also be participating.
Key dates: The deadline for registration and submission of proposals is July 25, 2025. Selected communities will be informed by August 5. Implementation of the project is scheduled from August 15 to 30.
Suggested Materials: Participating Communities are encouraged to collect a range of recycled materials for use in their respective projects for example: Plastic bottle caps and glass bottle caps, large and small pep bottles, fabric, discarded ceramic tiles, metals that are safe for use etc.
