Wear Your Art

The National Cultural Foundation will host a show during the Christmas season which discusses the intersection between art and function. Simultaneously, the talent of our local designers and artists will be highlighted.  We aim to provide a platform of a diverse audience to facilitate added sales for our talented creatives, to uplift the viewer and buyer as well as to offer them alternative items to wear.  

Wearable Art is the blend of Visual Arts, haute couture and slow fashion. 

It sits at the cross road between craft, fashion and art.  It is typified by quality and creativity.  It includes “accessories and clothing designed and individually made by hand to express its creator’s unique esthetics and make an artistic statement” (anatolian-craft.com).

This will be a fluid exhibition set up where we will allow buyers to take their pieces at the time of purchase, if they so desire. We may therefore ask artists and designers to restock as needed.
