Central Bank of Barbados Crop Over Visual Arts Festival, Village and Art Walk

“MEMORIES”…from then until now…

Art Walk & Village:  Saturday June 30th at 10:00 a.m.
Festival: Sunday, July 1st- Saturday, August 4th
Location: The Courtney Blackman Grande Salle, Central Bank of Barbados, the Central Bank Green space and the Queen’s Park Gallery

The exhibition will feature three (3) core components comprising of works in two dimension, works in three-dimension and craft. This exhibition will seek to bring new marketability, exposure, presentation, sales and educational opportunities as they relate to the various disciplines contained within the visual and aesthetic culture of Barbados. Multiple locations will be utilized  as an art village and art walk being introduced to embellish and expand the competition and Gallery display component of the Crop Over Visual Arts Festival.

Bajan Pop Up “ArtCrafters” Outdoor Fair –  Queen’s Park & Church Village Green

This Bajan pop up will allow patrons to meet and purchase the work of our local artists and artisans who will be selling their paintings, jewelry, pottery, art glass, sculptures, herbs, clothing, books and more in lovely Queen’s Park.

It will be a wonderful opportunity to shop local and support Bajan artists!

 

Outside Steel Shed to Nelson Gate – The walkway on both sides of the road will have the brightly painted booths from CARIFESTA and Bridgetown Market.  An outdoor street fair atmosphere will be created. Again artists will have opportunities to showcase their products. Persons also from NIFCA will be given an opportunity including those from Culinary Arts and Literary Arts. Two food vendors will be allowed. Feather Banners can also be incorporated for this transition spectacle between Queens Park and the Greens.

Village Green – “Art Nic”….the Visual Artist hub

 

Village Green –

This venue will become a relaxing area where noted artist will be invited to share their experiences and demonstrate various techniques of their genres.  Artists such as:
