In eight days and counting Barbadians will be feeling that infectious fever of the festival as Crop Over 2013 takes to the community with the Cavalcades.
The National Cultural Foundation (NCF) ushered in the Cavalcades dockside on the Wickham Lewis Boardwalk in Bridgetown on Friday, May 3, with the support of its title partners LIME and HOTT 95.3, followed by an after work event onboard the Jolly Roger.
Addressing the audience at his first official event as Chief Executive Officer of the NCF, Mr. Cranston Browne said, “The Cavalcades herald the unofficial start of the season, often hastening the final production of new music from studio to market and providing national exposure for tunes from emerging and seasoned artistes alike. It helps us to bring the festival to the communities and to build momentum for the other activities to come.”
