The responsibilities of the Desk include:
- Fostering healthy, productive and mutually respectful relationships between the NCF and the visual arts community
- Development of training programmes in art, craft and photography for the island’s visual artists
- Development and management of competitions in the visual arts at the community and national levels
- Production of national visual art exhibitions and their related educational programme
- Collaboration with the Ministry of Youth in the development of the Youth Achieving Results arts training programme
- Coordination of national participation in the visual arts at regional festivals.
- Facilitating the conservation and preservation of NCF’s visual art collections
