The tours will be followed by the Heritage Lecture entitled “Restoration: A Matter of Culture” which will be delivered by Mr. Michael C. Lashley, Vice President of the Barbados Institute of Architects. Hear the interesting historical and social perspectives of many of Bridgetown’s buildings and sites.
On Sunday July 3rd at 8 am it’s the occasion of the Crop Over Heritage Tour, taking participants on a footpath across the city of Bridgetown. Festival goers will definitely discover the secrets of Bridgetown’s past, its present sites and buildings. See up close, such sites of interest as the Jewish synagogue, St. Mary’s Church, Independence Square, James Street Methodist Church, Cod’s House site, the Montefiore Fountain, the Masonic Lodge Building and St. Michael’s Cathedral.
