50 Years of Talent – Richard Stoute Semifinalists Announced 

The 50th anniversary of the Richard Stoute Teen Talent Competition is underway with two exciting preliminaries now completed and the semifinals around the corner.

The first event was held at the Daphne Joseph Hackett Theatre and featured Jakyah Graham, Crayshanda St. Hill, Sabrina Phagoo, Renacko Holder, Shalisha Taylor, Rakelia Parsons, Alyssa Harris, Shaquan Lyder, Tyrell Ifill, Jaliah Thompson and Jasiah Moore who fought for a spot in the semi-finals in a keenly contested preliminary round.

In the second preliminary round, Damario Foster, Nymaria Boyce, Chelsea Ellis, Serena-Callia Archer, Aziza Butcher, Shamia Bourne, Rohisia Sampson, Joshua Osbourne and Kymani Devonish sang their hearts out for the judges’ panel led by Emmerson ‘Longfellow’ Bryan.

After two weeks of competition MC Alff announced the semifinalists to Richard Stoute faithfuls who also spent the night reliving the memories of the past years including competition entries by instrumentalists and iconic past winners such as Adrian Clarke. The semifinalists headed to CARIFESTA House on October 11 will be Alyssa Harris, Aziza Butcher, Chelsea Ellis, Crayshanda St. Hill, Damario Foster, Jakyah Graham, Jaliah Thompson, Jasiah Moore, Joshua Osbourne, Kymani Devonish, Nymaria Boyce, Renacko Holder, Rohisia Sampson, Shamia Bourne and Tyrell Ifill.
