About

Job Purpose: To drive the growth of the Creative Economy of Barbados by providing strategic business counseling, advisory services, development pathways to market, and robust data analysis. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Business Growth: Formulates and implements promotional programmes to assist high-potential micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) within the Creative Industries, helping them expand and scale their operations. 
  • Business Analysis & Insights: Conducts detailed business analysis, trend modeling, and competitive landscape visualization to outline clear solutions and opportunities for export clients. 
  • Portfolio Management: Manages a diverse portfolio of projects and programmes aligned with the strategic objectives of the National Cultural Foundation (NCF). 
  • Grant & Funding Assessment: Critically reviews and assesses applications for grant funding and technical business support, ensuring the preparation of comprehensive evaluation reports. 
  • Sector Development & Export Expansion: Analyzes assigned creative sectors to determine sustainable interventions that directly increase the export of Barbadian creative products and services. 
  • Industry Collaboration: Identifies and promotes strategic joint ventures and linkages across various sectors within the Creative Industries. 
  • Regulatory & Policy Monitoring: Keeps a pulse on government regulations and administrative procedures affecting Barbados’ business sector, offering beneficial recommendations to the institution. 
  • Community & Global Representation: Represents the NCF through presentations on the Creative Economy of Barbados and contributes to data collection policies.
