About

Job Purpose: To drive the growth of the Creative Economy of Barbados by providing strategic business counseling, advisory services, development pathways to market, and robust data analysis, with specialized attention dedicated to the Film and Music sectors. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Sector-Specific Business Growth: Formulates and implements tailored promotional programmes to assist and expand high-potential enterprises within the Film and Music sectors. 
  • Targeted Business Analysis: Conducts detailed business analysis, trend modeling, and competitive landscape visualization to identify specific problems and solutions for export clients in Film and Music. 
  • Portfolio Management: Manages a diverse portfolio of projects and programmes aligned with the overarching strategic objectives of the National Cultural Foundation (NCF). 
  • Export Expansion: Critically assesses the Film and Music sectors to determine strategic interventions and sustainable solutions that directly increase the export of Barbadian creative products and services. 
  • Financial & Grant Assessment: Analyzes commercial data such as budgets and forecasts, evaluates applications for grant funding, and reviews requests for technical NCF business support. 
  • Industry Collaboration: Identifies and promotes strategic possibilities for joint ventures and linkages across the wider Creative Industries. 
  • Regulatory Monitoring: Monitors local government regulations and administrative procedures affecting the business sector to offer beneficial recommendations to the institution. 
  • Foundation Representation: Represents the NCF through official presentations on the Creative Economy of Barbados and contributes to institutional data collection policies.
