Two patrons of the Pan Fusion event and the Monarchs of all three major calypso competitions will fly blue for the Festival.

At the recently held prestigious Pan Fusion event staged at the Ilaro Court, tagged ‘Sweet Pandemonium,’ Pamela Ifill and Jewel Godett were the lucky recipients of the door prize of Travel Certificates and will be jetting off to New York aboard JetBlue, the US air carrier for the 2015 Barbados Crop Over Festival.

This is the airline’s second year supporting Crop Over.  JetBlue joined the Festival family in 2014 as a sponsor of Pan Fusion and as a prize sponsor of the three Monarchs in the Pic-O-De-Crop, Sweet Soca and Party Monarch Competitions.

JetBlue flew the headliners for the Pan Fusion event from various gateways in the US into Barbados in time for their rehearsal and performances at Ilaro Court. These performers in the ‘Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus’ segment of the show thrilled local audiences with their versatility on the various instruments on which they excelled.

Terry Layne, General Manager of JetBlue in Barbados said, “JetBlue congratulates the winners, and we look forward to welcoming them on board. We’re gratified to share in and support Crop Over, knowing and appreciating its cultural importance to Barbados.”

He added, “Crop Over plays an important role in attracting visitors to the island, and JetBlue is proud to bring even more visitors to Barbados with our upcoming seasonal service from Boston, and our renowned Mint service from both New York and Boston.”

Pamela and Jewel were each presented with their travel certificates on stage at Pan Fusion and they will join the winning Monarchs and their guests on their choice of flights to the Big Apple.
