Background

Members of The Barbados National Youth Symphony Orchestra took part in training and rehearsal sessions during the recently-concluded annual workshop produced by the National Cultural Foundation.

Over three weeks, members of the Barbados Junior Orchestra (beginners), Barbados Senior Orchestra (experienced players) and the Barbados National Youth Symphony Orchestra (full group), went through training in sectionals and ensemble playing to sharpen their skills in an effort to maintain the high standard of musicality for which they are known.

The sessions were led and conducted by Director of the Barbados National Youth Symphony Orchestra Joy Knight, Brass Tutor Mark Husbands and Woodwind Tutor Anthony Hood. (PR)
