The National Cultural Foundation is calling visual artists between the ages of 18-35 to submit work for consideration in the second exhibition of the Against All Odds series in the Central Bank of Barbados Crop Over Visual Arts Exhibition.
The purpose of this exhibit entitled #FUTUREFORWARD is to showcase visual artists with new views, new ways of looking, and new ways of thinking and representing those thoughts visually
Submission Guidelines
Please submit 5 images, 5 short videos or 5 URL links to your most recent work to rodney-ifill@ncf.bb and freedomcurator2022@gmail.com
Deadline for submission: Wednesday, June 29th
We encourage you to submit work that responds to the following questions.
With freedom simply defined as control and management of ‘self’:
Do we manage our daily movements and religious and spiritual life?
Are all empowered with the capacity to develop their natural gifts and talents?
Can we make decisions about your health and financial affairs?
Are we free to express ourselves, choose how we look, and walk proudly in our sexuality?
Can we safely love our families?
However, we truly look forward to new questions and answers and views on Emancipation.
This show will be hosted at Queens Park Gallery from Wednesday July 13th- Wednesday August 3rd 2022
