Sweet Soca and Party Monarch Semi-finalists named

Reigning Sweet Soca and Party Monarch champions, Biggie Irie and Gorg, will be watching the outcome of the July 3rd semi-finals at the BRC Sweet N’ Spicy event to see who will be taking the stage for the Soca Royale at Bushy Park.  The semi-finalists vying for a chance to take the title were named this evening, June 21st, 2015 at Crop Over Grand Central, the NCF Headquarters, West Terrace, St. James.

The draw for positions will be held on Tuesday, June 23 at scheduled meetings for the semi-finalists.  The Sweet Soca meeting will be held at 5:00 p.m. and the Party Monarch at 6:30 p.m.  Artiste are required to provide the following:

– Tenor Sax  (1 copy)
– Alto Sax   (1 copy)
– Bass   (1 copy)
– Chord Chart   (3 copies)

– CD or copy of song   (1 copy)
– Drum Chart or Trumpet Score (1 copy)

There was an increase in the number of songs entered for the 2015 Sweet Soca and Party Monarch competitions. This year the NCF received 82 songs for Party Monarch up from 58 in 2014 and for Sweet Soca the number was 133 up from 114 in the previous year.
