Follow Me To Crop Over

The objective of the contingent’s seven day visit to Trinidad was to sensitise thousands of Caribbean people flocking to Trinidad about the Barbados festival, travel arrangements and accommodation possibilities for the event.

The Crop Over Festival had a presence at major fetes in Port of Spain, including UWI Splash, Soca Monarch, and Insomnia. At the ultra-exclusive Brian Lara fete, a booth erected by the BTA offered Bajan spirits and cuisine, mixed and prepared by award winning Barbadian barmen and chefs.

Other promotional activities included signage on the trucks of Island People, one of the largest mas’ bands in the Carnival parade, as well as flyer distribution, and various media appearances. It is expected that hundreds  of our Trini neighbours will converge on the Crop Over Festival come July.

The Follow Me to Crop Over campaign continues at the St. Lucia Jazz Festival, May 2-10, 2009.
