Role of the Film Commission
The role of the Barbados Film Commission currently includes:

Marketing and promotion of Barbados as a prime location for filming

Providing a comprehensive service for all filmmakers in production or location scouting on the island

Liaising between government agencies, private sector companies and productions

Providing linkages between overseas providers of market opportunities (i.e. script requests, film festival opportunities etc.) and local industry personnel

Organizing and facilitating the national presence at film industry trade events in order to promote the island as a premier location, and to create business linkages for Barbados’ local industry

Assisting in providing requisite technical training for industry personnel
